All Lagree movements performed on the megaformer are to be done slowly at 4-count speed with quick transitions between each move. The workout is generally organized in “blocks” meaning, upper body movements are done together, lower body movements are done together and core movements done together. This will bring your muscles in that body part to exhaustion/failure, the key to the method’s delivery of fast results.
The megaformer is the patented machine that allows our instructors to create a challenging, ever changing workout experience. The megaformer is a system of resistance and counter resistance that work your muscles to failure point. The megaformer can look a little intimidating to new clients, but don’t worry, our instructors will walk you through step by step! We suggest starting with our “Back-to-Basics” class, as it will familiarize new clients with the infamous Lagree moves, and help veteran clients perfect their form.
If you are new to the Lagree Method, please arrive no later than 10 minutes before the scheduled class time. This will allow our instructors a little extra time to get you set up on the megaformer in order to ensure the class runs on time. If you have visited a Lagree studio before, please arrive no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. This will give you enough time to check in, get your grip socks on and on a megaformer ready to start!
grip socks are MANDATORY at the studio. They will assist in performing the moves on the megaformer correctly, as well as ensuring the most cleanliest surface within the studio and on the megaformer machines. Grip socks will be sold at the studio in fun colours/styles for all! Outdoor shoes are to be removed after entering the studio and grip socks on prior to entering the megaformer area.
A positive attitude ready to master the Lagree Method. Some Lagree moves will be more challenging than others, it doesn’t get easier, you get stronger. You got this!
Bring a bottle of water. There will be water available at the studio so if you need a refill, we got you covered!
*Please avoid wearing strongly scented perfumes as some clients may be sensitive or allergic, and therefore can be distracted from the workout.

#2 The Pace- slow and controlled movements are designed to work multiple groups of muscle at once. When you engage more muscles in a short period of time, your body burns more energy longer. Your body is continuing to work after the workout is over.

Due to the limited number of available spots in each class, our policy requires 12-hour advance cancellation notice. If you you do not show up for a class you have signed up for, you will lose that class. If you are on monthly unlimited membership and do not show up for a class you have signed up for, you will be charged a $15 NO SHOW fee.
Our classes are limited. We require a 12 hour cancellation notice. You can cancel up to 12 hours before the class start time and the class will be credited back to your account. If you need to cancel within 12 hours of the class start time, you will lose that class. If you are on a monthly unlimited membership and cancel within 12 hours of the class start time, you will be charged a $15 fee.
If you show up late and the class has already started, unfortunately you will not be permitted to join the class as it can be distracting for others. The Lagree method is challenging and requires focus to properly perform the moves, and transition seamlessly from one move to the next.
